Summer in Lockdown
Six members of the Deaf community tell us how the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown affected their lives in Summer 2020.
28m 3s
Documentary (2020). Richard was the first paramedic to respond to the Westminster terrorist attack in 2017, but he considers being in hospital with COVID-19 to be far more scary. In this programme, Richard and other members of the Deaf community recall the fear that gripped Britain as the pandemic arrived and spread rapidly across the country. We meet a bride-to-be, an actor, a deafblind woman, a new mother and a NHS worker, who all recall their lives during Summer 2020. Produced and directed by Cathy Heffernan; a Drummer TV production for BSLBT.
